Web Development
Web development typically refers to the non-design aspects of building web sites i.e. writing code for a specific feature of a website. You will see examples of web-development features dotted around sites on our portfolio pages. Two recent examples of sites that clients asked for “web development features” include the “energy calculator” on www.dkwindows.ie and the “car tyre selection form” on www.autopitstop.ie. In these examples we’ve made it easy for visitors to each site either calculate their energy savings or select the correct car-tyre respectively. Neat features like these improve the browser's experience and also does wonders for the “stickiness factor" of a site.
There is no reason why small and medium size businesses's websites can't have the user enhanced features that larger companies enjoy due to their larger budgets. These features are affordable and in some cases are merely modules which can be plugged in, customised and switched on in jig time. This greatly minimises any development costs benefiting the customers bottom line.
