An easy to use content management system(CMS) gives an organisation an edge over its competitors - Drupal now seems to be the clear leader and choice of marketing & PR managers globally.

When webpages, banners, video and images need to be updated several times per week by non-geeks, which website content management system(CMS) should a marketing or PR manager choose? We asked the same question in order to standarise all our client sites on one world class CMS.
 

To help us decide we did extensive research. We asked some tough questions like, what are large fortune 500 companies like McDonalds, Sanyo and Intel using. What are global news organisations like CNN, BBC and Reuters employing. Since many of our clients are in the entertainment industry we pondered which system is the "The Grammys" , "Robbie Williams",  "Eric Clapton" and Virgin radio using ?

So then we mused; how much does this content management system cost. It turns out its totally free and supported by a global community of developers who contribute the code to it.

We had one final question around security; How can a global community of developers build a CMS that's so secure that whitehouse.gov is built on it(compared to say a customised CMS). It turns out that all of the all of the software code has to go through rigourous testing before it's released and approved by a global army of programmers that support it.
